Tamaki college open day

yesterday we went to Tamaki College for the open day was awesome it was like real college but only for one day.

My first favourite class was science we learnt all about static electricity like sucking up paper with balloons this is how you do it first blow up a balloon next rub it on your hair then rip up a piece of paper then put the balloon over the ripped up piece of paper and it works like magic.
my second favourite class was English because we done cool animations on R.I.S.E we done it on a web site called pow toon when you can do animations and slides.

POLY fest

                                                              Polyfest

 Yesterday the year 7&8's went to Polyfest these are my top three highlights .....

My first highlight was when we went to the buses when we got in the buses Bailee and I were playing games the first game was called buzz this game is when we have to find a number plate that has the same number next to each other.we also played a game called sweet or sour this game is when you had to wave at someone anywhere and if they don't wave back it's a sour but if the person does wave back then it's a sweet and when you get a sweet you get a point we got 6 sweets on the way and 9 sweets on the way back.

My second highlight is when we got a  ASB goody bag there was some awesome sun glasses,sun screen,a drink bottle,a fan and a hake sack it was awesome.

 Addition pyramid

 today miss Kyla took us on a lesson for the addition pyramid .It was awesome first we done some different strategy's for 5+8 first I thought that this was going to be easy but it was interesting how much strategy's there was for something as little as  5+8.And she showed me how the different levels so that was cool.
